🔥 Air Fryer Chicken Shawarma Recipe

Juicy, golden, and spiced to perfection—all in under 20 minutes. This air fryer version gives you the caramelization of a grill with none of the fuss. Perfect for wraps, bowls, or straight from the tray (we won’t judge).

🧂 You’ll Need:

Chicken + Marinade:

  • 1½–2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs

  • 1 tbsp Spice Souk Shawarma Blend

  • 2 tbsp lemon juice

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 garlic clove, minced (optional)

  • Salt to taste (if not already included in your blend)

Optional Extras:

  • Greek yogurt or tahini sauce

  • Flatbreads

  • Sliced veggies (lettuce, tomato, cucumber, onion)

🧑‍🍳 How to Make It:

  1. Marinate the Chicken
Mix the shawarma blend, lemon juice, olive oil, and garlic in a bowl. Toss in the chicken and coat well. Marinate for at least 30 minutes—or up to 24 hours for max flavor.

  2. Preheat the Air Fryer
Set to 375°F (190°C) and let it warm up while you prep.

  3. Cook the Chicken
Place chicken in a single layer (work in batches if needed). Air fry for 12–15 minutes, flipping halfway. It should be slightly charred and cooked through (internal temp: 165°F/74°C).

  4. Rest + Slice
Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes, then slice into strips.

  5. Build Your Plate
Serve in warm pita or flatbread with your favorite toppings and a generous spoonful of yogurt or tahini sauce.
