🥕 Roasted Carrot Hummus Recipe (Spice Souk Style)

Sweet meets smoky in this vibrant, velvety roasted carrot hummus. It’s got the body of traditional hummus with a flavor twist that makes it perfect for mezze platters, toasts, or just eating by the spoonful. Rich, golden, and spiced just right.

🧂 You’ll Need:

  • 4 large carrots, peeled and chopped

  • 2 tbsp olive oil (plus more for serving)

  • 1–2 garlic cloves (roast ‘em or raw, your call)

  • ¼ cup tahini

  • Juice of 1 lemon

  • ½ tsp kosher salt

  • 1 tsp Spice Souk Shawarma Blend or Baharat (for extra flavor magic)

  • 1–2 tbsp cold water (to loosen if needed)

  • Spice Souk Za’atar or Sumac, to top

🔥 How to Make It:

  1. Roast the Carrots
Toss carrots with olive oil and a pinch of salt. Roast at 400°F for about 25–30 minutes, until soft and caramelized. Let cool a bit.

  2. Blend It Up
Add roasted carrots, garlic, tahini, lemon juice, spice blend, and salt to a food processor. Blend until smooth and creamy. Add a little water to get your perfect consistency.

  3. Serve with a Swirl
Scoop into a bowl, swirl the top, and finish with olive oil and your choice of sumac or za’atar.

✨ Spice Souk Tip

This dip loves to be paired with warm pita, seedy crackers, or spooned onto grain bowls. Use Spice Souk Shawarma Blend to bring out the roasted depth of the carrots—it’s our secret weapon here.
